Q: If I have had cancer and a breast was removed, will Medicare cover the flap procedure?A:Yes, if you have had mastectomy, Medicare will absolutely cover the reconstruction procedure of your choice. It will also cover surgery on the other breast to improve symmetry, if necessary.
