Most of our patients return home tired and in need of several weeks of R&R. But should you need us in the hours, days or weeks following your surgery, we’re always available to you. Just call (843) 388-0660 or toll free (866) 374-2627.
The Center for Natural Breast Reconstruction is on call, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. During office hours, you will speak with a nurse, a physician assistant or, if needed, a doctor. After hours, our answering service provides access to our doctors.
When to be concerned:
- Changes in the appearance or size of your reconstructed breast
- Fever Over 101 Degrees
- Unexplained Leg Pain
- Pus, Drainage or Streaks From Your Incision
- An Incision Begins to Pull Apart
- Inability to Urinate or Have a Bowel Movement
- Bloody, Very Dark or “Tarry” Bowel Movements
- Coughing Up or Vomiting Blood
- Severe, Unexplained or Uncontrollable Pain
- Difficulty Breathing
- Inability to Eat
- Increasing Weakness, Inability to Care For Yourself
- The Worst Headache You’ve Ever Had
